Sandia Speech and Language is a private speech therapy practice located in Rio Rancho, NM. At Sandia Speech & Language we specialize in identifying the communication needs that are most functional and appropriate for each child, and then we make it as fun as possible! We provide individualized therapy sessions for clients and their families focusing on the following areas of communication:

Abby Hoeksema, M.S., CCC-SLP

Abby is a practicing speech-language pathologist who has served children in New Mexico for over 15 years. She has provided pediatric speech therapy in a variety of settings including, private practice, Albuquerque Public Schools, and Applied Behavioral Analysis centers. 

Abby is passionate about working with young children to improve their communication skill set and ability to interact within their homes and community.  Her goal is to provide customized treatment plans to assist the child and family with their communication goals in a positive, patient and motivating environment. 

Abby  received her Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Northern Arizona University and completed her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Central Michigan University. She is licensed by the state of New Mexico and is certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
